Summary
Under the general direction of the AutoCAD Manager, the AutoCAD Drafter is responsible for a variety of design/drafting activities including assisting in preparing/updating building water piping and industrial fluid drawings, following guidelines, instruction and procedures regarding AutoCAD data management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop AutoCAD water and medical gas piping diagrams for healthcare and manufacturing facilities.
- Create and maintain flow diagrams using Visio software.
- File management of multiple AutoCAD projects.
- Perform data entry and management for AutoCAD projects.
- May assist with project preparation of field drawings for new projects.
- Training will be provided on HydroCorp drawing standards and water quality control principles to ensure the highest customer satisfaction and compliance.
- May assist with construction of composite drawings for final products based on client specifications.
- May assist with preparation and delivery of completed projects per internal company standards.
Skills and Core Competencies
- Familiar with AutoCAD and Visio software required
- Familiar with GIS/BIM a plus
- Knowledge of generating layout drawings from sketches and specifications
- Basic knowledgeable of drafting practices and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level of patience for completion of complicated projects
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, listening, verbal and written
- Strong analytical ability
- Ability to understand and assess from a logical perspective
- Ability to interface with clients and employees in a professional manner
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
