Service, Expansion, Focus: HydroCorp’s 2024 Year in Review

As 2024 comes to a close, we wanted to take some time to look back at the year before we look ahead to 2025. First and foremost, we are grateful for our customers and their dedication to water safety and excellence in piping infrastructure and operations. It’s a privilege to work with municipalities and facilities across the country to help them protect their communities, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency.

Now, let’s recap how we worked to support safer water systems and more accurate piping schematics in 2024—we couldn’t do it without you!

2024 By the Numbers

2024 was a banner year for HydroCorp and its customers! We provided backflow prevention and cross-connection control support for hundreds of municipalities and facilities this year as we expanded our service area from coast to coast (more on that later). This year, we:

  • Completed over 100,000 cross-connection control inspections
  • Installed more than 27,000 water meters

The HydroCorp team grew this year, too. HydroCorp added a total of 25 new employees in 2024, growing our cross-connection control, water meter replacement and installation, and piping system survey teams. As our customer base grows, so does our team, always with the goal of better serving our customers in mind.

HydroCorp also named a new CEO, Chris Spain, in April, to align with our focus on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and growth.

New(s) & Noteworthy

Service Expansion

In early 2024, HydroCorp officially expanded our services to the entire continental United States. This nationwide initiative bridges the gap between existing, traditional backflow prevention test tracking and best practices for backflow prevention and cross-connection control.

The impact of this expansion has been evident through the first-time service HydroCorp has provided in states across the U.S. We secured and completed our first cross-connection control contracts in Arizona, Idaho, North Carolina, and Utah; we worked with a public water system in Colorado to meet state compliance requirements; and we partnered with a Detroit-area public water system to achieve a fast turnaround on critical water sampling to ensure compliance. On the facility side, we worked with a major hospital clinic network with dozens of locations across the country to update their piping schematics, improving safety and streamlining facility operations.

These are just a few examples of how our coast-to-coast service offerings have supported safe water, regulatory compliance, and smooth operations for our customers.

Connect & Educate

This year, the HydroCorp team attended dozens of tradeshows and conferences in 25 states, getting the chance to connect with municipal leaders and facility managers across the country. Members of our team were honored with the chance to present sessions and training at these conferences, demonstrating their passion and dedication for what we do. We also had the opportunity to host on-site cross-connection training for public water system staff and state officials in Delaware, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

In addition, HydroCorp launched a new free, monthly webinar program with the goal of educating our audience on key issues pertaining to water safety and piping infrastructure. To date, our free webinar program has seen more than 700 registrants.

Diving into 2025

2024 was a year for the record books, and we expect 2025 to be even better! As we look ahead, there are new and exciting things on the horizon for HydroCorp and our customers. We look forward to continuing to serve public water systems and facilities with critical support and services next year and beyond.
