Water Meter Replacement Program

Due to the recent restrictions put in place due to Covid-19, the City of Richfield is postponing the water meter radio replacement project for the health, safety, and welfare of our residents and technicians. 

We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as we navigate these unprecedented times.  Our contract service provider, HydroCorp, will be contacting you once restrictions have been lifted and it is safe to resume installations.

The City of Richfield has contracted with HydroCorp to install new Radio Transmitters Only. Your cooperation is requested to help the process flow smoothly and assist the city in upgrading their water meter system.

Now that the Stay-At-Home order has been lifted, the City of Richfield will be proceeding with the water meter radio replacement project. We know that we have previously been to your property to replace your water meter and we appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as we continue our work on this project. The previous installation contained a defective component that is now being replaced at no cost to you or the City of Richfield. A technician will need to enter your property to replace this component. Water service to your home or business will not be interrupted to complete this work.

The City has contracted with HydroCorp to perform the radio change-out. HydroCorp technicians will be on-site at your property to install a new radio transceiver. During this time, installation technicians will wear appropriate personal protective equipment to protect residents, business owners, and themselves. Additional information about the protective measures that HydroCorp and its technicians are taking is enclosed.
